The producers

They help us out to assume our philosophy. Winemakers and winebreeders who only produce organic wines, such as:
• The vignerons d’Estezargues : the pleasure wines
villages-francoise.jpg Estézargues is a small village in the Gard (380 inhabitants) is well-known for the wine. With 320 hectares, the wine production is the main activity there. In 1965, these people wanted to combine their effort to create the cave des vignerons. Today, almost all of the producers belong to this association. Some quality standards were quickly put in place so they could sell bottles from four different Domaines (Domaine d’Andézon, Domaine de Périllère, Domaine La Montagnette et Domaine de Pierredon) , with : Les Grandes Vignes (red, white and rose) and a wine from the Gard: Cuvée des Galets.
The vignerons d’Estezargues want to preserve their terroir. In the wine cellar, the wine yeasts are carefully selected and all the technologies that can alter the wine are banished.
The vinification process is done without any sulfur, at low temperature to preserve the fruit and the terroir.
Each Domaine is vinifier one at the time to respect each winemaker’s identity and terroir.

The Mas D’Espanet
(Agnès and Denys ARMAND 30730 Saint Mamert-du-Gard – France)
moutons.jpg“When we bought the domain in 1980 there wasn’t anything left. We had to work a lot on it: the wines, the house, the fences … Some wines are ten to fifty year-old. In 1999, we decided to produce wine on 10 hectares.
In 2000 we turned the former sheepfolds into a wine storehouse and set up a wine tasting area. The domain enclosed in the Garrigue on the northern part of Nimes, goes between pine forests and oak trees. Located in two different climates, the wine area offers a great variety of soil and cepages.
They make wine in a natural way, they don’t over-produce and they harvest wine manually. What they really want above all? Let the terroir express itself.

• Vinumentis

tete_de_lunettes.jpgHe wanted to be a veterinary in the countryside, meet Yann.
In the wine industry since 1987, after studying oenologie – which he forgot a lot about – he learned a lot in the Beaujolais at Villié Morgon where he was taught how to make wine with no support. He then went to Bandol, in Provence and in Languedoc in Pic Saint Loup, then in the Vallee du Rhone, at Cairanne and Suzette. Since 2004, he makes wine by himself, like a real grown-up.
He’s secretly in love with Gamay.
He wanted to be a basketball player, meet Sylvain.
After travelling a lot, he settled down in 2004 in Caux, Languedoc. It will be the beginning of a great cooperation . He takes care of the wine but his thing is more all the administration side. He tends to think that making wine is not fast enough. People tell him that’s the way it is and he will get use to it. It’s on its way …
But let’s not forget all the people who contribute to Vinumentis.
Andrea takes care of the wines in Ardeche and helps us out between two trips in Africa and Czech Republic. Greg knows as well the hang-overs as building a house. Serge or “les bronzés font du vin“. Annika has a sharp-eye. Gamby, Julien, Regis, the Bretons who came to help us out in 2007 and who support us since the beginning. Jacques, illustrateur à caractère changeant. Gwen, the designer. Jean Pierre is half-man, half-carafe (don’t forget to decant him/it) and many more who help us without paying attention to all the time spending with us.

The GROW (Group Recycling of Wood)

peuplier-grow.jpgA lot of containers from our daily life depend on them. For a long time, it  has only been a way to carry something from point A to point B, today the  product is estimated for its promotion of the Terroir’s products but not only.
Its natural and organic side reassure the customer and gives a natural look to the wrapped product. Very nice. Mainly made from poplar trees, they make light and respectful objects. Planted in poplar plantation or alignment, the poplar tree is a raw material renewable very important for rural economy.
